Biennial aviation event travel

Farnborough International Airshow travel

A July event journey shaped around the confirmed airshow year, registration, hospitality, managed access and the return.

01 — Check the year first

Treat the airshow as a biennial event

Farnborough International Airshow is biennial, so confirm the event year, day and earliest registration, meeting or programme time. We record attendee names, travelling mobiles and the organiser contact. Guests with different registration or meeting times may need separate vehicle schedules.

The destination is Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre, ShowCentre, Etps Road, Farnborough, Hampshire GU14 6TQ. Traffic management, security and pass directions define the approach and lawful set-down instead of the building entrance. Passengers may walk from set-down through security or registration to their hall or hospitality point. We include that movement before the appointment and review vehicle passes, invitations and accessibility needs early.

02 — Service on the day

Delegate movements stay attached to the programme

Each car carries its passenger list, reporting time and onward destination, so airport arrivals, hotel departures and the show collection remain distinct parts of the programme.

03 — Trade-day schedule

Work back from registration and meetings

The earliest registration, breakfast, briefing or client meeting sets the arrival target. Venue entry, walking, July traffic and the main drive follow. A nearby hotel still needs event margin; London or Heathrow adds another road sector. Same-day air arrivals need flight details and time for immigration, baggage and the onward drive. Flight tracking supports changed aircraft timing. A local hotel transfer the previous evening may support an early appointment.

Business or First can serve individual delegates; XL may carry a small team, presentation cases and overnight luggage. Occupancy, baggage and any direct airport return guide the vehicle. Several cars can run from offices, stations, hotels and terminals. Each movement has a passenger list and travelling contact, with one organiser approving changes. Different senior schedules may require independent returns.

04 — After the event

  1. The car waits at the recorded lawful collection point.
  2. The chauffeur messages the lead passenger when access is settled.
  3. The party walks to the agreed landmark and boards together.

06 — End of the show day

Record a collection place and window

Pedestrian flows, security boundaries and traffic controls may make the morning set-down unsuitable for evening pickup. FCET records a collection point, window, fallback and any required walk. Delegates update the lead contact if a meeting or reception changes departure. Everyone saves the agreed location. An onward airport journey needs the flight and terminal.

Aviator, Village Hotel Farnborough and Holiday Inn Farnborough are local public hotel names. Reserve directly, then provide the full address and entrance. A stay can support an early start, dinner or multi-day visit. Separate timed journeys can connect Heathrow, central London, Reading or a Berkshire office. Car retention between movements must be agreed. Journey cost is confirmed for the specified addresses, vehicle, waiting and return.
