01 — Choose the exact port destination
The terminal name comes before the road plan
FCET arranges chauffeur travel for embarkation and disembarkation at Southampton's five cruise terminals, Portsmouth International Port, the Port of Dover and London International Cruise Terminal at Tilbury. A booking begins with the latest cruise document: ship, named terminal or berth, sailing date and the boarding window printed on the ticket. We then add the full collection address, lead passenger mobile, every traveller, every large case and any mobility equipment. That detail distinguishes Ocean from Mayflower, Dover CT1 from CT2 and Tilbury's Ferry Road terminal from central-London river moorings.
For embarkation, the chauffeur uses the port's signed passenger set-down and helps unload the recorded cases. Labelled luggage then follows the terminal or cruise line's own process, with porters involved where that departure provides them. For disembarkation, the vehicle waits lawfully outside active lanes until the passenger has left the ship and reclaimed their luggage. The chauffeur sends the agreed message and the passenger replies when ready. If docking or release changes, we adjust from that contact on the day; FCET does not claim to track ships.
02 — Build the complete cruise transfer
Boarding windows, road time and the return
Each terminal guide gives planning miles and minutes from Reading, Wokingham, central London and Heathrow. The figures are a starting point for the complete address and do not replace current road conditions. Southampton journeys normally join the M3 and A33 before dividing between the Eastern and Western Docks. Portsmouth uses its M275 port approach, Dover lies beyond the M20 or M2 corridors, and Tilbury is reached from the M25, A13 and A1089 before Ferry Road. The chauffeur follows the port's live signs at the final approach.
We plan the outward collection from the boarding window on the ticket, never from an invented universal arrival time. A same-day airport connection also needs the flight number, airport terminal and a realistic allowance for the airport process. The return is a separate booking sector with its own port terminal, passenger contact and onward address. A London hotel, Berkshire home, Heathrow departure or intermediate stop is recorded before confirmation, and the fixed journey cost reflects the actual itinerary and chosen vehicle class.
